/ Founders
Hospitality Data Solutions is led by Nick Murray and Peter Hough, co-founders with deep careers across hotels, restaurants, operations, and the data systems that connect them.
Co-Founder
Restaurants, operations, and people leadership
Nick is driven by a passion for building teams that take ownership of their work and deliver exceptional experiences, not only for guests but for one another. Guided by his personal motto, "the relentless pursuit of continuous improvement," he applies this mindset to every aspect of his work.
A chef for most of his career and raised in the restaurant industry, Nick learned early on that food has the power to bring people together. As a senior restaurant and hospitality operations leader, his focus extends beyond the kitchen to shaping concepts, cultivating talent, and fostering environments where teams can be their authentic selves at work, just as they are at home.
Nick's expertise in hospitality finance allows him to bridge the gap between creativity and strategy, ensuring every concept is both operationally sound and experientially rich. For him, the joy of hospitality comes from making others happy, whether by cooking their favorite meal or building the spaces where unforgettable experiences happen.
Outside of work, Nick is an athlete at heart, dedicating time to competitive sports, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, weightlifting, and endurance training. He is also passionate about animal rescue, having housed and rehabilitated dogs before his travel schedule took him on the road. Whether in hospitality, sports, or rescue work, his focus remains the same: creating connections and making a lasting impact.
Co-Founder
Hospitality data, revenue, and systems
Peter's career in hospitality spans hotels, independent restaurants, and sales leadership. From front-line operations to commercial strategy, he has spent years building and refining the systems that connect what the front line knows to what leadership decides.
His focus at Hospitality Data Solutions is the data layer that should be supporting modern hospitality: clear forward signals, defensible pricing, F&B economics that hold up at the ownership review, and AI workflows that compound instead of pilot.
The throughline across his career is the same as the one that drives the firm: hospitality is an instinct business, but instinct should be supported by data leaders can actually act on. The systems he builds are designed to do exactly that.
